Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and Bridges are used to replace fully or partially missing teeth, and to bridge the gaps between teeth. If you’ve lost teeth due to injury or disease, these solutions may be right for you. At Fischer Family Dentistry, we’ve been putting in crowns and bridges for over 30 years. We’re up to date on the latest technology, and we’ll assess your case to find the right treatment for you

Metal-Free Crowns

A crown, also known as a cap, is placed on top of a tooth that has lost most of its structure. In the past, these were traditionally made of metal. Advancements in dentistry have led to metal-free crowns. These are mainly made from porcelain. They’re stronger, longer lasting, and much more natural looking. We’ll custom make your crown to fit in with your natural teeth. We’ll take molds of your bite to make sure we get the shape just right. The crown will strengthen what remains of your tooth, and restore its natural look. Sometimes they’re used to protect a tooth that’s had a large filling. They’re also used to repair cracked, misshapen, or discolored teeth. Crowns will keep your weakened tooth from suffering any further damage. They’ll allow you to eat your favorite foods again, and protect your oral health. And you won’t have to worry about any unsightly metal in your mouth.

Bridges

A bridge is a type of prosthetic tooth that’s supported by a crown. They can be supported by your natural teeth, or by dental implants. Bridges are a good solution for patients who are missing more than just one tooth. We’ll take impressions of your mouth to create a custom bridge that’s perfect for your teeth. Then we’ll anchor the bridge to either your natural teeth, or to the metal posts of your dental implants. Either way, the result will be a healthy looking, functional smile. You’ll be pain free and back to eating your favorite foods in no time. And we’ll make sure you’re comfortable during the procedure.

In just a couple visits to our office, you can have a fully functional, natural looking smile. Don’t wait any longer to have your teeth restored.
